Letter to missing son

When Catherine Nutly’s son James went missing in 2004, she held hope he would return home one day. But this New Year, as we enter the 20th year he has been missing without a trace, Catherine writes an open letter to her son. I placed the family’s moving story in Best magazine and as a result, Catherine appeared live on Channel 5’s Vanished, appealing to the public to help find James.

If you know anything that might help explain what happened to James, or where he might be now, please get in touch here, or reach out to Missing People. James, if you are reading this, your mum wants you to know the family would never be angry with you. They just want to know you are safe, and would love to hear from you. If you feel unable to contact them directly, that’s OK too. You can reach out to Missing People who can help you with the difficult first steps, and liaise between you and your family.
